Who: Lucy Ramsey and Open What: Quiet time interrupted. Where: Sapphire Stage When: Early morning
Sapphire was one of those places that became a safe haven when you were a Ramsey. It represented something more than just the performing arts theater on the island that could get about as lit up as the Rockefeller Christmas Tree when a show was going on that night. For Lucy it was a dream for the future. She couldn't see her little sister sticking around there in the long run, or... At least she hadn't in the past. Now it was hard to say if Kaylee was even going to get her high school diploma any less get into college. For the past three months she had been doing about whatever it took to avoid the subject of her little sister whenever possible even though now everyone at school knew she was going to be Aunt Lucy in a matter of months. What had possessed her to announce it like that to the entire island was beyond Lucy's understanding unless she was about to be an aunt to the Antichrist. Then considering the father it wouldn't really surprise her but perhaps she needed to start checking the base of Johnny's skull for the mark of the beast.
That could wait for the next time they got stuck in a room together. Right now she needed some peace and quiet away from the insanity of home which had sent her out first thing that morning with her keys walking toward the theater. There wouldn't be anyone around for hours with any luck and she could just enjoy the empty stage without any interruptions from the other actors when they were all back on Monday for more rehearsals. She wasn't sure if anyone else would show up today for whatever reasons. She was just liking the lack of set pieces that needed to be on the stage at the moment which left the stage area empty of possible hazards. At least it was after doing a quick sweep to avoid nails and stretching to keep from hurting herself. The doors had been left propped open just enough to allow for some airing out. It was Frye Island in the daylight... She wasn't all that worried about suddenly getting invaded when there was no money there to be had anyhow.
Lucy checked her leggings one last time to make sure they weren't creeping up her legs before hitting play on the old CD player and turned it up as loud as possible. Sometimes you just needed to dance it out...
