After James, people started to slowly trickle in. Things were looking dubious when they saw Mao's lonely case of (Tetsuo's) beer. Thankfully there came a sound that was like music to his ears, Josie's voice, just audible beneath the music, and banging at his front door.
Mao rushed to open the door for her, grinning at the sight of her and Alex's arms full of bags. "Josieee! Its like Christmas!" He leaned forward and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He was in such a good mood that he had no problem with being overly bold. He took the bag from her, like a gentleman, and lead the way to the kitchen. Mao wasn't the only one relieved by the delivery, by the looks on other people's faces, they were thinking now the party was really going to start!
He reached into a pocket and yanked out a wad of crumpled bills, handing it over. It was likely more than he owed her, but Mao figured he wasn't going to be allowed anywhere for a long time after this, so there was no point in having money, he wouldn't be able to spend it. "Thanks you guys, you're totally awesome." He popped open a beer, downed about half of it, then bounced back toward the living room, calling out over his shoulder, "Save a dance for me later, JoJo!"
