Your mom said you were asleep and I had some matinee stuff to get back to at work, but your gift is more bubble wrap than you can pop in a day... And there might be something else in there so be careful. I hear it doesn't like music.

Sorry I wasn't awake when you came by. I'm enjoying my own bed far too much. I did get it though after digging through a ton of bubblewrap. Thank you so much though. It's beautiful. I love it, and I'm going to take really good care of it. Meaning, it's staying out of reach of Markl.

Glad to hear. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it for sure with the lack of real windows in your hospital room, but it all worked out!

It did. I'll keep it safe. Thanks.

So how is it going today other than the bed enjoyment?

Pretty good. It's nice to have a change of scenery and no IV clinging to you all the time. How are you?

Sounds nice after the hospital room. Doing a bit better than the other day, but still not too great yet. More worried about John than myself currently.

I know the feeling. He sent me a birthday text, but I haven't seen him today.

The boy's going a little crazy sometimes. Not that I blame him. He's just more willing to show weakness than I am.

I don't think he believes in censoring himself. It's why he's ends up in the messes he usually ends up in.

Very true. I thought it was just the way he felt about others. Not so much about how he was feeling.

Did he tell you something?

About literally splitting his head open (his words, not mine as I'm not liberal with the use of "literally") with the stress and trying to figure out what to do and, like I told him, there's not really anything to do at this point in time.

And yet I feel like I have to convince him to go to the Doctor's with me.

I think that not having the answers to everything for the first time has him freaking out. I could try talking to him.

Do you want him there?

You do seem to speak Johnny better than I do. And I have a fuse that is about a tenth of an inch long, so productive conversation is impossible at best. (So yes, please? When you feel up to it)

Well I did ask him. Pretty sure they're not going to be doing any below the belt checking. Then I think last time was because I had never BEEN to one before.

I've had many years of experience. But yes, I'll try and talk to him.

Well then it doesn't matter. If you want him there, that means he should be there.
