Who: Elliot and Jimmy
What: Elliot finally figures out his powers
When: Today (before powers stop working, obviously)
Where: At the country club
Rating: PG-13+

Aside from some of the bizarre looks he had been getting, things seemed to have calmed down for Elliot as of late. He hadn't had his cousin's girlfriend-friend-person-thing jump his bones. He hadn't randomly kissed (he was unwilling to refer to it as making out, although that's exactly what it was) his good friend who was also in a relationship. He had been going to swim practice, going to class, and going to work without much event, and, quite frankly, he was thrilled about it. It may not have been the most exciting existence, but it was a safe and predictable one, and that was exactly what Elliot needed right about now.

At the moment, Elliot was on towel duty, which meant he needed to clear out the hampers and replace the missing towels on the shelf with the newly cleaned ones. Some of his co-workers teased him about it, but Elliot was meticulous when he folded up his towels. The edges of the stacks all lined up perfectly, neat enough to be done by a machine. It may have taken him a while longer, but honestly, it wasn't as if there were more exciting things to do elsewhere. Serving drinks to the older ladies poolside just wasn't going to appeal to a 21 year old boy.

He was almost finished folding the new towels when he heard someone approaching, and he looked up to greet them with a small smile. "Hello," he greeted. "Need a towel?" He extended one of his perfectly folded towels out for him. "Just cleaned. Lucky you."

Jimmy had been working out at the country club for the past two and a half hours. He usually didn't pay much attention to his physique but he needed to get out of the house do something instead of just moping around, doing nothing with his pitiful life, worrying about everyone else's problems. So today was the perfect day to work out some stress on the tread mill by running for a few hours straight.

After his two hours were up and his body was drenched in sweat, Jimmy slumped off the machine and sat down for a minute. He was out of shape clearly. It had been a few years since he had run that much continuously on the cross country team at the high school. Once he caught his breath, Jimmy stood up and sauntered off towards the showers. He was exhausted but the boy who was handing him a towel seemed to be in a chipper mood.

Jimmy nodded and accepted the towel from the boy, his hand lightly brushing over the towel boy's hand. As his hand grazed the other boy's, Jimmy's head snapped up and he looked the boy square in the eyes. It was like someone had just slapped Jimmy, forcing him to look at the boy and appreciate his kind eyes and humble smile. He didn't know why but he was oddly attracted to who ever this boy was. Something in him wanted to drag the boy back to the showers with him and have a go with him but there was also a quiet voice trying to snap him out of it in the back of his head. The longer he looked at Elliot though, the quieter that voice became.

Normally, Jimmy wasn't the kind of gay guy to be openly flirtacious with another man, where other people might see him and suspect something. But you would have to be blind to not pick up on how flirtacious his tone of voice was. "Hey cutie," Jimmy combed Elliot over with his eyes and flashed a toothy grin his way.

Elliot blinked as the boy's hand lingered. He recognized him as Jimmy Monroe, who he was pretty sure worked in the mayor's office- or something like that. He was on the complete opposite of the spectrum from Elliot, into business-y type things, when Elliot had a not so secret fascination with biology and pathology. They didn't interact much, though Elliot saw him around campus.

"Er." Cutie? Elliot glanced over his shoulder to see whom Jimmy was speaking to, but there was no one there. He looked to the left, then the right. No one else was in the locker room. He was talking to him? Jimmy Monroe was calling him a cutie? He didn't even know that Jimmy was into guys, and only Macy knew that Elliot had any interest. "Hi?" he finally offered in return awkwardly. Elliot was clearly not used to advances, though they seemed to have popped up out of nowhere as of late. Ethan. Josie. Macy. Strange old ladies.

"You feeling okay, Jimmy?"

Jimmy watched as Elliot looked over his shoulder and all around the hall to see if he was talking to someone else. He couldn't understand why the boy wasn't just accepting a very clear fact but he shrugged it off and let his charming smile do all the talking. When he awkwardly responded, it was a little off-putting but Jimmy ignored it.

He looked at Elliot quizzically as he questioned if he was feeling okay. "Of course I'm feeling okay," he shook his head a little and then looked back at Elliot smiling, thinking that that was a rather dumb question for him to ask. "I just.. I don't know why I haven't noticed you before. Do you want to.." Jimmy motioned toward the showers as though by doing so he didn't have to say any more to Elliot and hopefully he would get what Jimmy was hinting at. At the same time he reached for Elliot's hand and gently pulled him towards the showers with him, trying to coax him into coming with. "I mean, we could go out after."

Okay, this was a little overwhelming. Jimmy was practically dragging him into the showers with him. Now, admittedly, Jimmy was exceedingly good-looking, and he could probably pull a modeling job if he wanted to, and he wasn't twice his age, or half it, and he wasn't supposed to be dating his cousin, but Elliot still couldn't fathom what was happening. He gaped as his feet were drug along, before finally coming to his senses.

"Jimmy!" He managed to tug his hand out of Jimmy's, and stared at him. "Don't get me wrong, you're very..." His cheeks flushed. "Well, I'm sure you know." God forbid he actually deliver a well thought out compliment. "But I hardly even know you and I- I'm at work." He was pretty sure jumping into the showers with patrons could get him in some serious trouble.

Jimmy smirked as Elliot said his name. He found the way that it rolled off of his tongue to be sweeter than anyone else's. Jimmy lusted after Elliot, wanting him and craving the idea of the boy being his. He grinned all the more when he watched Elliot getting flustered.

When he mentioned how he was working at the moment, Jimmy's face lit up like a child in a candy store. He reached over and gently caressed Elliot's cheek with the back of a few of his finger. "That's the best part. We won't get caught." There really was no way of knowing that much but Jimmy knew that he wanted to be with Elliot right now. Or he thought he wanted to get him in the showers with him at least, and every time he even lightly touched him it was as if he only craved him all the more.

"Please," Jimmy pouted a little to try and get Elliot to come with him. "It'll be fun. I promise." He reached for Elliot's hand again, wanting to pull him along.

Let's be honest, when a good-looking guy caresses your face and tries to get you to go into the showers with him, there is a legitimate part of you that hesitates and considers the offer. Of course, the longer Elliot considered exactly who Jimmy was and exactly who he was, the more impossible the entire situation seemed. Jimmy would never be interested in him. Was Jimmy even gay? Was this a just some stupid joke? The thought of it made Elliot's cheeks burn. A familiar feeling of embarrassment settled itself down in his chest, before he finally snapped out of it.

"Jimmy! Knock it off!" He yanked back from him and put some distance between them. "It's not funny, okay? Just stop."

(ooc: with Elliot this far away from Jimmy, his powers should start to wear off!)

One moment Jimmy was all hot and bothered over Elliot and the next it was like someone was zapping him back to reality. He wasn't seeing Elliot in quite the same light. Jimmy blinked a few times as he realized what had just happened. Part of him still lusted after Elliot but thev voice in the back of his head that usually stopped him was starting to slowly come back. He was mortified with how he had just acted and he couldn't figure out why he had just acted the way he did.

Jimmy's cheeks immediately started turning a deep crimson. "I-- I'm--" Jimmy took a few steps back from Elliot. "I'm so sorry. I don't-- I didn't mean.. I.." He couldn't even form a coherent sentence, he was so beside himself and embarrassed for doing what he had just now.

Elliot hesitated at Jimmy's response. Why was this scenario so familiar? Ethan. Josie. Macy to a lesser extent. They had all seemed so shocked by their actions, which Elliot had attributed to them being surprised to be interested in him of all people. But now... he was beginning to second-guess things. Why such a dramatic reaction? Why had these things only just started happening recently?

"It's... it's fine," he mumbled, ducking his head. His brain was buzzing as he tried to process the pattern. "Forget about it."

After a moment, he stepped forward and extended the towel back out to him again. "Here. You never took it."

Jimmy mulled things over in his head, trying to figure out why his inhibition had just randomly disappeared. It was like he was drunk for a few minutes and did what ever the hell his ego wanted rather than what he knew he should do, what he knew would help to maintain his image. Hitting on the towel boy at the country club certainly wasn't going to keep his image in check.

"Um.. thanks," Jimmy took the towel from Elliot. As he grabbed it from the boy, it was like he was picking up an infected specimen, not wanting to get too close to Elliot. He was about to walk away when he stopped himself and looked at Elliot, seriousness clearly spelled out. "I really am sorry."

Normally, Elliot would have let it go. He was absolutely not the confrontational type of person, and he was usually the 'not-so-strong, silent type'. But this bothered him. It bothered him that so many people kept saying the same stupid thing to him all the time. So he didn't let it go, not this time.

"Then why did you do it?" he blurted out suddenly. "How did you even know I-" He stopped himself before letting slip his interest in men (though his hesitance earlier probably gave him away).

Jimmy looked at Elliot regretfully before he turned and started to walk towards the showers. Not only was he thoroughly embarrassed but he couldn't help worrying over who Elliot would tell about this incident and what he'd even say, if he decided to tell someone. Jimmy had started going over all of the possible scenarios of how his reputation could be tarnished and his career shot to hell when he stopped. He thought the two of them were done and were going to hopefully sweep this under the rug but then Elliot was talking again.

Rather than turning fully around to talk to Elliot, Jimmy stopped in his tracks and turned his head to the side to address Elliot, his eyes flickering around the hallway every few syllables. "I don't know." Why had he done that? Elliot was a nice enough looking guy and sure, Jimmy would love a romp with him in the showers but he usually suppressed that sort of feeling and just stuck to playing it cool and keeping his thoughts to himself. "One minute you were the towel boy. And the next..." Jimmy let his speech trail off, figuring Elliot could fill in the rest. "I don't know. Cupid's arrow?"

Of course Jimmy was just saying it to muse Elliot, perhaps lightening the situation a little. He shrugged and looked down at his feet for a minute, full of shame and waiting to see if Elliot had anything more to say.

Elliot managed to repress a grimace at being referred to as 'the towel boy', which wasn't exactly the most flattering notion of himself. It only served to further showcase exactly how improbable this entire thing was. Jimmy seemed genuinely confused and apologetic, embarrassed even. "Oh," was all he could bring himself to get out.

Seriously? I don't know what came over me. I'm not like that, and very I'm sorry.

I'm really sorry about that, Elliot. I'm not exactly sure what came over me.

What did you do? I'm not like this. I don't cling. And, no offense or anything, but you really don't 'do it' for me. So what did you do?

Elliot felt like the wind had been knocked out of him. It was him, his fault. He had done this to people.

But no, that was impossible! How could he possibly make people do anything against their free will? It wasn't like he had mind-controlling powers, and even if he had, he certainly wouldn't have used them to make someone like Josie Allen kiss him! And it had been so brief, there one moment, gone the next, just like this bizarre episode with Jimmy (who at least hadn't pounced on him like the others).

Slowly, he looked down at his hands and saw them shaking. He had been... touching all of them. His touch?

There was a moment's hesitation, before he suddenly took a few strides forward and took up Jimmy's hand again, eyes wide as he waited to see if there was a similar reaction. If not, he was pretty sure Jimmy would think he was crazy, or full of some serious mood-swings in the best case scenario, but he had to know. Was Elliot crazy, or was he... something altogether different?

Right as Jimmy was thoroughly ashamed with himself and about to walk away from the situation, he stopped because Elliot grabbed his hand. When he turned around and looked at Elliot, it was as if someone slapped all of the sense out of him and he was picking up right where he had left off, craving the boy. He looked Elliot square in the eyes for a minute, the voice that was telling him not to do anything slowly getting quieter the longer the two boys held hands.

As soon as the voice was gone, Jimmy all but threw himself at Elliot, forcefully kissing him as he pushed him up against the wall. It was like he craved the boy, like Elliot was his drug and he needed a fix badly. He purely lusted after the boy but Jimmy was in such a haze that it didn't matter if he lusted or loved Elliot - either way, he wanted him in some form.

Elliot supposed he should have seen it coming. He was practically asking for it, after all, but he was still completely caught off guard as he was shoved against the wall. He sucked in a surprised gasp of air which was quickly swallowed by Jimmy's hot mouth against his.

He found himself responding, lips moving back against Jimmy's, but as his hands raised almost as if of their own accord to slide up his back, Elliot realized what he was doing. With a serious burst of will power, those hands shifted to Jimmy's chest and pushed him back as he ducked out from under the boy's arms and quickly put a distance between them.

He was breathing heavier than he would have liked to admit, and his lips were tingling from the sensation, but he had stopped himself. "I- Oh God." His hands shook slightly as he realized that he had taken advantage of Jimmy for an experiment, that things could have gone horribly wrong if he hadn't stopped, and he suddenly felt horrible. "I'm sorry. I-" His eyes were wide as he took in the state of the boy before him. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to- I didn't know," he bumbled, shoving his hands into his pockets to avoid having to look at their tremors.

Jimmy wanted to keep kissing Elliot. It was as if one kiss wasn't enough; every second he was touching him, he only wanted more. When Elliot pushed him away and took a few steps back, the part of Jimmy that craved more was a little angry. He knew what he was lusting after and he wanted it; why deny him?

But the more distance there was between the two boys, the more Jimmy conscious came back slapping him in the face. It wasn't bad enough that he was already embarrassed but now he was thoroughly mortified. His cheeks burned scarlet and when Jimmy went to speak, his mouth moved but nothing came out. Apologies were supposed to be spewing left and right but the only thing coming from Jimmy were weird little noises that almost resembled the start of a syllable.

And then Elliot started apologizing? Jimmy's cheeks that were burning hot started to slowly lose their deep color as he listened to Elliot bumble around and try to gather his thoughts. Confusion spread across his face and slowly Jimmy started getting angry. "What do you mean? I kissed you, and you're not even ... into men."

Elliot was about to blurt out what he suspected was wrong with him when Jimmy spat out that he didn't even swing that way, and Elliot realized he had just revealed himself to the third person in town: Ethan. Macy. And now Jimmy. "That's... that's not entirely true," he murmured. Not entirely, because he certainly still thought some girls were attractive, too. "I would think that was a little obvious, based on how I reacted." He had been the one to kiss him back, after all.

Hopefully that reveal would distract Jimmy long enough for Elliot to figure out how the hell to explain that his touch made people go crazy with lust, and that he had essentially taken advantage of Jimmy a few moments ago without sounding like he was completely insane? Was there anyway? He supposed he could always prove it to him, but the thought of making Jimmy go mad for him again left him feeling a little sick to his stomach.
