To be fair, Mia hadn't planned on seeing Tino that afternoon. She had been going a little stir crazy in her house and had decided to go for a walk on the beach. She was also rather eager to get away from her father who apparently thought the entire island had gone sex-crazy thanks to Emily's latest stunt.
Of course, thinking of Emily wasn't exactly a mood-raiser for Mia. The girl was officially on her 'shit list' these days, and she probably wasn't heading off of it any time soon. The thought of how angry Sam had been with their conversation had Mia kicking at rocks as she walked. With a particularly violent swipe, a series of stones hit the water. Sighing weakly, she looked upward again and was startled to see another figure on the beach. Tino.
She hadn't expected to see anyone here. It wasn't the most popular beach on the island. But now that they'd met each other's gazes, there wasn't much she could do about it. Besides, the look on his face was enough to have her drifting toward him before she ever made the conscious decision to. "...Tino?" she asked softly. "...What are you doing out here?" Was he... No, no way. Tino crying?
