Emma closed her book and looked over at her husband. It had been a long day at the school. Detention had run a little late, and she'd had a stack of papers about a foot high to read over and grade. She didn't mind though. She'd had a lot on her mind lately. It was hard worrying about her own children and other people's children. She was keeping a close eye on the journals, which got both tiresome and boring, and took away from her free time. It wasn't that it was a big deal-- Emma thought that it was in the best interest of everyone for her to monitor online activity. However, sometimes, on a very rare occasion, she wanted to be normal. Fortunately, or unfortunately--whichever way you choose to look at it--something had been nagging at the back of her head for a few days. A very normal something.
"If I tell you something will you promise not to get mad?" She placed her book on the nightstand and sat up a bit. "It's about our son."
