Ari didn't know how to respond to Seth. She had never been put in a situation like this, where some other man was looking at her and complimenting her. This sort of behavior was taboo where she was from and it was highly frowned upon, but this man seemed to have no inhibition even after he noticed her wedding band.
Nervous and clearly uncomfortable, Ariella started to twist her wedding band around on her hand with the two fingers surrounding it so as to be discreet about it. She may not know Scott very well or like him very much at the moment but he was her husband nonetheless and she was determined to make it work with him some how, as divorce was out of the question especially with the baby now too.
She took note of him laughing at her and smiled sheepishly, thinking that offering stitches was overdoing it a little considering it was just a little bump and nothing too serious. "Oh.. um.. no that's fine, I guess." Ari really would have preferred him to call her Nurse Silverman or, even though she didn't like the sound of it, Mrs. Silverman, but she wasn't about to be rude to this man.
Her cheeks flared a deep scarlet when he complimented her name and beauty. Mentally, Ari was way past freaking out. How did you even address someone like this? Didn't he have any limits? Her wedding band was visible and she didn't want any of what he was selling but apparently her body language wasn't screaming loud enough. Tucking her hair behind her ear, Ariella half smiled. Quietly, almost barely audible she muttered, "Thank you."
