"They better call first or else they're going to find a sleeping Penny and be upset about it." Not that she cared all that much. She saw the people she wanted to see for the most part minus Markl and her father. These were the people she would wake up for. Everyone else would just have to sit there and watch her sleep. "I'd wake up for Noelle though. I was going to shadow her around when school got out, but... I guess that's not going to happen. Girl's going to have to fend for herself."
Penny bit her lip. She wondered, loudly in her head, just how much he had heard before she even said anything. She tried to think back on what she was thinking about before he dropped this on her, but she didn't recall anything that was particularly bad. Besides, he knows everything about me anyway and... She frowned. This was going to take some getting used to. I'm not even going to remind you about how much this kills the First Amendment right now.
She shrugged a little as if unsure what to say. She couldn't help for how long she was asleep, and even as they spoke, she found herself growing sleepier and sleepier. Oh? What for? It had all sounded so normal suddenly, as if they hadn't just been through some cataclysmic confession session that had almost ended them. It felt so... unresolved. "So... do you want to... I mean... where... do we stand?"
