Penny looked up at the ceiling and got a far away look in her eyes. It wasn't like that far away feeling she had experienced before her collapse or anything. This one was more like a daydreamy look. "Can you imagine us in some fancy Upper East Side penthouse and going to the finest music school in the country with all the luxuries available to us?" It had been a dream that two best friends had dreamed about for the longest time, but Penny had always had her quiet reservations. She knew Annie worried about her, and if they did somehow manage to get off this island and lived together, Annie would be worrying about her all the time. Penny wasn't sure she wanted that.
The thought of a naked James as a distraction was all Penny needed to break out into a tiny fit of giggles. Something inside of her ached from the strain of giggling, but Penny ignored it. It was worth it to laugh again. "Seriously? Aww, James. I'd like to see him and Tino." She could only imagine what those two troublemakers would do while in the hospital. Oh the mayhem they could cause!
"It's not really a secret," she said, trying not to sound overly defensive. "It's just kinda stupid and possibly embarrassing." She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear at the mention of wings. Oh, Annie had no idea how close to the secret she actually was. "God, I hope not. The last thing I need is another public announcement of sorts."
