Penny smiled. That had been her biggest worry, that she wouldn't have been able to finish their gig that had meant so much to Annie. For a brief moment, she had closed the gap a little in her infinite debt to Annie. Though, obviously, Annie was here with her now, so that clearly meant she was right back where she started or even more indebted to her if that was even possible. "Sony's a good label. Motown isn't bad either. I hear Jive is really particular though." Penny shrugged a little and lowered her eyes. "I had just been tired before then, no real pain or discomfort or anything. Just tired. I guess my body couldn't take it any more." Probably didn't help that she hadn't really eaten either.
Penny observed the blob that looked like the sun for a moment as it covered up the ugly zig-zaggy lines of her heart monitor. It was a good thing it wasn't making that horrible beeping noise. Penny realized it was one of those that only made a fuss if something was going wrong, like she was going into cardiac arrest or something. She recognized the other machine beside it as the one that helped you to breathe if you couldn't do it on your own. Luckily, that one looked like it hadn't been used lately. "That's nice of him. Maybe he'll get a chance to see me."
She glanced up at Annie's face and frowned. "Sully?" She returned her head to Annie's shoulder. "Mom told me he had been here. We'd had a fight on Friday. It was stupid. Probably not why I fainted, but it didn't help matters much."
