Rosie folded her arms and put them behind her head, propping it up off the ground. She just stared up at the stars thinking about everything that had been happening. School, football, drama queens. It was nothing really too important to her but she was just letting her mind wander while she was high for the time being. Roz never took life too seriously and it was most likely because she kept her thoughts to herself usually and took the time to mull things over like she was doing presently.
That is, until someone diverted her attention. She couldn't see that well in the dark and the moonlight wasn't helping, so she wasn't able to make out who it was that was walking near her. Nor was Rosie about to identify the person based on the sound of their voice. But she sat straight up when said person caught her attention. It was partly because they had caught her off guard, though it was primarily because of the sudden colors that were flashing across her eyes.
As the man spoke, a soft blue ribbon rippled through the air. It wasn't a solid color, rather it was like someone had just thrown a piece of cotton fabric through the air that was dyed that hue of blue. But when the blue ribbon flowed, it was like it was ripple effect. Everything else that was making noise suddenly came to life in colors. The waves, the slight breeze rustling in the trees, mother nature's chorus - it was like someone had flicked on a light for about ten seconds and then turned it off. Everything was illuminated and emitting some sort of noise that was whizzing around her, combining and weaving and crashing into one another. It was amazingly beautiful but terribly confusing. She watched as the ribbon rippled through the air elegantly and carried on past her, disappearing all at once. Rubbing her eyes a little bit and blinking, Rosie looked over at the man.
"Hi," she said a little breathless, unsure of what had just happened.
