Mia was a little on the mortified side after Tino's post. Of course, he hadn't really said anything that made her look that bad. She hadn't been the one to cheat, but he was really good at making her look like a paranoid freak all the time, like it was so far-fetched that he would cheat when he had just posted about 'loving and leaving' people.
Still, the fact that he had directed his comments at Sam meant he was deliberately trying to break them up, and the thought infuriated her. She'd spent most of her birthday being irritable until her family was good enough to distract her. Leave it to Tino to ruin her birthday (or at least make a valiant attempt at it).
Sam was supposed to meet her to go down to the beach, and part of her was still worried about what he thought of what Tino said. She wondered if she should bring it up, but maybe that would just make things worse... if he even still showed up. She'd gotten ready in the event that he would, of course, in her bikini, flip flops, and a sundress cover up.
Hearing Sam's knock had her in an instantly better mood as she hurried down the stairs to answer it. She paused for a moment at the door- let him sweat a little, you know- then pulled it open with a smile. "Hi," she greeted. She considered inviting him in and thought better of it. There were too many awkward family members in the house to deal with, so she stepped out and shut the door behind her. She glanced upward at smiled. "Looks like good walk on the beach weather to me."
