Oh, yeah, baby. Polish that gold.
Who: Macy Jones & Noah Riley
What: Macy & Noah "talk it out"
When: Backdated to ...same date as text thread!

Noah slipped his phone into his pocket and crushed out the embers in his cigarette. Today was his day off. He'd slept in, at some old cereal, then ambled out for a walk for a while. He liked spending his days off truly off; that is, he didn't like being bothered to do anything productive or whatever the fuck.

No. He rather preferred standing outside as it drizzled, smoking. Or meeting up with Macy. Whichever, really. - Things had been going well for them lately (after that whole amnesia bit, that is). As well as they could between the two of them. They were getting back on track, as it were, in their relationship. Noah was slowly filling Macy in on the past nine months they'd been together.

He was excited to see her. He'd been working so much the past week, he'd hardly managed to give her a peck on the cheek, let alone anything else. Yes, today would be a good day to catch up with her. - Moving slowly, in the spirit of his day off, Noah packed up some shit he thought he might need, and, slamming the door to his little car, sped off to the girl's apartment.

Upon arriving, he haphazardly parked, locked his car, and jogged up to her building. He pressed on the buzzer.

Macy had been feeling guilty ever since her... let's call it memory loss. It wasn't easy to start a relationship over when the other person had all kinds of expectations and things to remember. But Noah was helping her, and that was working out pretty well for them. But now...now she had something else to guilt her with. And the sooner she got it off her chest, the better they'd be for it. Right? -Right.

At the sound of the buzzer, Macy put aside the book she'd been polishing and moved to the door. Her buzzer was broken, or at the very least iffy, so she ran down the stairs to let him into the building herself.

"Hello," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck almost immediately for a hug. He was slightly wet, and smelled smoky-- just the way she liked him.

Macy herself was warm. Noah returned the hug, nuzzling his nose into her neck as he did so. "Hey," he said in return, a little muffled.

He released his grip on the girl and smiled at her. He couldn't help himself, really. She was cute. And he liked her. And finally, she remembered she liked him. And it was good.

Sadly, Noah had no idea what he was walking into.

She smiled back and lead him back up the stairs and into her apartment. It was nice and cool, and immaculately clean. "So, how was your day?" She wanted to just get right into it, but Macy had a hard time starting a conversation with 'I cheated on you but I didn't want to'.

"So far, so good," came Noah's response as he followed Macy into the apartment. It was beautifully clean. In fact, it was the exact opposite of Noah's own. He knocked a gold something-or-other off the coffee table onto the floor. - There. Now it was homier. He grinned at Macy and flopped onto her sofa.

"Why don't you come here and make it better?" He raised his eyebrows.

She obliged to move towards him, touching down onto the sofa with one of her knees. It felt like forever since they were close-- he was working so hard lately. A little affection before she told him the truth wouldn't hurt, right? She hoped not. Maybe it'd just remind him how much he really liked her, and make it that much easier for him to forgive her? Macy could only hope.

"What did you do?" She touched down with her other knee and paused.

Noah was oblivious, obviously, to all of the reasoning going on behind Macy's eyes. He was feeling relatively happy. He watched the girl climb atop him and, somewhat immediately, with the weight of her and the warmth of her as catalysts, Noah was turned on. He wrapped his hands around her thighs. "Nothing," he responded in a low tone, his eyes on her face.
