Quite unlike Nico, Alfie was actually having a really great day. His smile reached from one ear to the other. Everything was going his way, like a Disney song. It was perfect. His performance in soccer and swimming had improved, he was managing his time better when it came to doing homework and studying, and he and Laney were doing great. Sure, they didn't know the first thing about dating, but they were figuring it all out as they went along. Nothing could possibly go wrong today.
As he slipped out of his math class, he headed down the hall to where his locker was, stopping briefly at the water fountain to quench his thirst. Math sure had a funny way of making you thirsty. As he was drinking, he heard a bit of a commotion down by the lockers. With the water in the fountain still running, Alfie lifted his head to try and see what was the matter. He caught sight of some guys around Nico, and his eyes instantly went wide. He knew Nico was strong, but even he couldn't take on those guys, not like Alfie could anyway.
And then he saw Nico's bag fall to the floor, a clear sign apart from his blasting headphones that he was severely pissed off. Alfie left the water fountain and rushed over to Nico just in time to have those guys run right past him in the opposite direction. Alfie frowned. What the fuck had just happened? He thought those guys were bullying Nico, and now they were running away from him? Though upon turning back around, it was clear why they were running away. "Dude?"
Nico's eyes were rolled back into his head, and he looked like he was the star of Carter's next zombie movie. Alfie immediately dropped his own bag and reached out with his hands to try and shake Nico back to life or whatever. But before he could even touch him, Alfie had the craziest out of body experience ever. He felt himself being pulled out of his own body, saw himself and Nico's body for a split second before landing with a thud somewhere eles. And that somewhere else was...
"The fuuuuuuuuuuuck?" He was now staring at his own body. It was the creepiest thing that had ever happened to him. He didn't even think about why he was like that until he heard music blasting in his ears and glanced at his arms. Instead of dark brown hair, he saw light blonde. When he touched his face, it wasn't his own, and when he looked at the nearest reflection, he was staring at Nico's face blinking back at him.
