With her back to Carter he wouldn't have been able to see her face, but she gave him a big eyeroll. She wished he would stop being so modest. Kissing him couldn't have been that bad... not that she'd ever thought about kissing Carter. No way, no how. He just had bad luck with girls after that. She was sure that Carter would find a nice girlfriend soon. In fact, she would make it her mission to make sure that he would find one that would never hurt him. Granted it was going to be hard to do but he needed someone to be their for him, someone other than herself.
"It's actually a great story," she reviewed. "I don't want to give too much away. It can a little confusing the first time you watch it because it jumps but it's worth it." When she noticed the look on Carter's face as he came to sit down, Grace got an even bigger idea of his plan. "You're not that fat Carter..." She smiled at Julius' logic and manners but it soon got washed away with nervousness as he slid down in closer proximity to her. She sat all the way back against the couch and then somewhat angled herself as far into the arm as she could without being too noticeable or rude.
She knew that boys having cootes was a superstition that her dad told her to scare her away from them when she was young; otherwise, she would've gotten them from Carter long ago. But the closer she got to her crush, the more her stomach got tied in knots. He didn't make her sick, quite the opposite. She was just afraid to let him see what she actually thought of him. What if he didn't think of her that way? What if he liked someone else?
