Julius wasn't sure why she had just stayed there, but tried not to think too much of it. Girls were still a little bit of a mystery. Or a lot of a mystery. Maybe that was just their way no matter what age. "Pancakes, Grace. Grace, Pancakes." Admittedly he had been behind the naming of the bunny. He hadn't quite figured out how to get Pancakes to wear a pancake like a hat. Then his patience wasn't the best where food was involved. He needed to get him back in his cage considering Isis seemed to think he was a kitten to be carried. More than once he'd been afraid she might decide he would make a better meal. And it would be Julius' luck that his sister would be the one to find the aftermath. "Usually more for strawberry, but it's Carter's birthday and there's plenty of food."
Speak of the devil... It was nice to have him there as things could probably get awkward fast if Carter let Grace and Julius stay alone for much longer. One could always see Julius relaxing just a little as soon as Carter was there. "Yeah, one of the cans of Dr. Pepper and I could just go for some popcorn." He took the movie with one hand. In the other was still the bunny, but he would take care of that first. "I'll try to make sure there aren't any trailers to watch by the time you get back." He added before heading off, although almost tripping on the way out. Stupid feet making him look like an idiot...
Bunny taken care of, there was just the matter of getting the DVD set up and making the trailers go by at warp speed until the main menu was up. Now was the matter of figuring out where he should sit. One end of the sofa seemed safe. For now at least.
