Carter heard Julius's shout from the door. He grinned he knew it was her, "Oh cool, tell her to come on in." Normally he'd go up and welcome her in but he decided pretending to still be looking for the movie would give Julius and her a little more time to talk...get acquainted and now Julius knew that the two of them weren't dating so...he wouldn't act as if she had the plague. Yeah, he was pretty sure Julius liked her too, but like most boys was probably too scared to tell her. Carter knew telling him that she liked someone else might have discouraged him, but he couldn't tell him. Grace had been his friend longer and he wouldn't betray her trust like that. Also what if he read it completely wrong and Julius didn't feel that way. They'd be weird around each other and he would have ruined everything.
Carter decided he pretended to look long enough and he wanted to watch the exchange. He stood up and from a distant watched the awkward exchange, he could make out what they were saying but the body language was all he needed to see to know how it was going. His grin grew and he decided to save Grace from herself.
"Hey Gracie," he gave her a big hug and took the bag from her, "how about we bring this into the kitchen, we can also make some popcorn. Also we have soda if you want some." He glanced at Julius, "You want one man? I'll grab it for you while you pop in the movie." He held out the DVD to him.
