Grace braced herself and tried to look as calm as possible as the door swung open... to reveal Julius behind it. "Hi," she said shyly and smiled somewhat nervously. She rang out the ends of the bag in her hands with her fingers. She tried not to stare at him as she stood there trying to think of something to say before he turned back and yelled into the house. Carter must've told him that she was coming over; but of course he would've. Why wouldn't Carter have told him? They were all there to watch a movie together. The three of them... just herself, Julius.. and Carter. She tried to shake off her nervousness as Julius welcomed her into the house. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her with one hand still on her bag.
As Julius walked away suddenly, Grace tried to comprehend his statement. An Egyptian goddess liked to carry around pancakes like they were kittens? After a moment, she laughed at herself realizing he was probably talking about some of the numerous pets that the Hudson family owned. They practically had their own zoo from her perspective, not that she had anything against it. She glanced to the back to where Julius had pointed but remained by the front door until he returned. She smiled brightly when he came back with a bunny in his arms. "Aww, he's so sweet," she said as she reached out to scratch the bunny's head.
She pulled her hand back and returned her gaze to Julius' face. "I.. uh.. I hope you like chocolate ice cream?" She raised her bag into better view before dropping it to her side again. "Carter wanted some ice cream and we usually get chocolate. I didn't know if you liked it or not. I should've asked. If you don't want any, we can find something else. Because you shouldn't be forced to eat something you don't like or eat nothing at all because that's not good manners." When she realized she was talking too much, Grace bit down on her tongue but smiled with her lips.
