She wasn't wearing her prom dress, but she had dressed for the occasion. Katie would have felt bad if she opened the door in just her jeans and a tee shirt, especially since this was supposed to somehow make up for him missing last night. It wasn't fluffy, or overly composed of tulle, but her skirt was light and would twirl if she spun. "I'll get it," she yelled to the back of the house when Calvin knocked, barreling down the stairs in a very unladylike manner, two at a time. When she reached the door, she flattened out her dress and her hair before pulling it open. Her stomach was full of butterflies, but she wasn't exactly sure why (apart from the obvious). She smiled through it, though.
"Hello," she said, standing to the side to give him room to pass into her house. It felt a little formal, but she wasn't sure how else to act towards him. Not yet, anyways. She supposed she'd see how the day went.
