Emily caught that he was trying to hide how tired he was. She would have known even if she hadn't caught him mid yawn. She knew him, had known him longer than anyone other than Evan. She could see it in his eyes. He wiggled his guitar case and a small smile graced her features. Normally she would scold him slightly and say he should go home and rest, that they could do this another time. But she needed a friend right now, she needed Calvin, she needed to be selfish right now. Deep down she knew that despite her wanting to be selfish right now, her conscience wouldn't let her keep him too long. He needed sleep, more than most, his visions were always exhausting he told her.
"Yeah, I'm very ready, come on up," she opened up the door a little wider to let him in and Irulan did seem happy to see him, but, maybe Emily just imagined it, she seemed a little disappointed...she must have been expecting Sam. She needed to get used to it though, she wasn't sure if Sam would ever come over again, they hadn't really talked about what happened. Emily started her way upstairs and motioned for Calvin to follow.
