Penny had placed a popcorn kernel to her lips but was so fixated on the movie that she didn't remember to actually open her mouth and start chewing on it. She only really caught the end of what he was saying. "It's metaphorical, I guess. Like not everything in the Bible is supposed to be taken literally. Just extract the general meaning out of it." She wasn't paying too much attention to what she was saying either, or only part of her brain was. "Well, visually in the sense of the graphics, it's good. Just shooting it to get the color scheme to look that way is a pain."
And what did she know about movie making anyway? Just some stuff she had read once while waiting at the doctor's office or something. She finally remembered to eat her popcorn, though by that time she was so sick of the stuff that she didn't reach for any more. Instead, she snuggled up to him a little, eyes closing for a moment as she took in his scent of that of a recently bathed boy. He smelled so good. It was with a great deal of reluctance that she opened her eyes again, having just been momentarily transported into a blissful, serene, Bast-centric world.
