Even though Bast knew her parents rather well (from working for them and not necessarily from being the boy dating their little girl), Penny didn't know his parents at all, and she felt as though that particular meeting would be the most awkward yet to come. Sure she knew Savannah from just seeing her at school, but she had no idea what the girl thought of her, much less about what her thoughts were on Penny dating her brother. "Outside the office, dad's really great. He's hard on his employees, because he feels he has to maintain a certain degree of excellence in his work force. Don't worry though. I proof your articles. You should be good."
She picked out a movie though and hugged it against her so that he wouldn't see it yet. It was sort of like a surprise, except not really all that exciting. "Trust me. If she knew exactly what you are capable of the way I know exactly what you are capable of, she wouldn't let me get within three miles of you." Or who knew? Maybe everyone already knew. She walked up to him though and flipped the move around so he could see the cover of '300'. "If it gets too scary for you, we could always change it." She grinned. "Water's fine. Thanks."
