Angie was in the library, and that alone shouldn't be a surprise, considering the girl was still actively trying to be at the top of her class. The fact everyone and their mom's emotions were getting in the way didn't help her, but she was getting better, if only a little. The number of times she had felt like losing her mind due to all the emotions overflowing her had decreased, but so her direct interaction with people, which was upsetting to her. She had to learn of ways to turn the damn thing off whenever she wanted to.
She wasn't making much progress on her studying though, because for the best of the last minutes she had been caught on a particular flow of feelings that came from not too far from where she was sitting. It was like spying people, and she hated that, but Angie had discovered that focusing on one or two people made blocking out the rest a lot easier, and so she was following both Emily's and Sam's feelings for a while. They were...confusing, but as far as she could tell, Emily had stronger feelings towards Sam, although the boy wasn't without his own share; he apparently was more confused than anything, she thought.
It was then when an idea came to her mind. What if she did something to help them? She hadn't tried much the manipulative aspect of her power, but she knew she could make people feel in ways they weren't before. Immediately after the thought appeared though, her mind was already shunning it as unethical and completely monstrous, but truth to be told, Angie considered it to be a good chance to exercise her powers. And it wasn't like he didn't feel anything towards her, anyway.
So Angie closed her eyes, carefully focusing on Sam's feelings, and slowly started to turn the confusion into affection, very slowly, wondering if the guy only needed a little push to actively feel that way for himself. If not...she could probably help. Against her better judgment, Angie smirked a little, eyes still closed, as she monitored the pair's emotions and tried to hear what they were doing.
