Emily noticed the change in Sam's body language. She said something wrong, she said something that hurt him. Then he spoke. Her eyes went wide and she gave a little gasp,
"No...no. Well I mean it didn't go the way I expected it to go, but I wouldn't say it was wrong." She stood up and moved to sit next to him. Tentatively she gently rested on of her hands on his arm, "What I mean it...I thought if I kissed you again without the haze of whatever that was on Valentine's Day I wouldn't feel anything and we could go back to the way we were before, friends, you know?" She glanced down to their little Chrissy on the table and Sam's sketch. "But, on the contrary...I did feel something, a big something, a...good something. And...I just got scared so I ran. I never planned of feeling something like this for you Sam so don't worry I'm not expecting anything from you. Also...it probably is for the best if you didn't...now just isn't the right time."
