Who: Sam, Emily, & later everyone's favorite empath Angie What: Egg Project Discussion (and then some fun with emotions) Where: The library When: After school, Wednesday, March 23rd Rating: TBD (probably Low/Medium) Status: In-Progress
Emily made her way to the library right after school. Her little egg baby was carefully cradled in her hands at the moment, she knew that she and Sam would probably have to find a little carrier of sorts to make sure little Christine was protected throughout the next few days. Once inside the library she placed her backpack down on one of the chairs at the lone table and sat down in the adjacent chair. She set little Chrissy on the table in front of her. Emily stared at the simple egg for a moment, it didn't look much different than any normal egg, she saw a dozen of them in the fridge last night. But for some reason this egg was different, this egg had a name, this egg was her and Sam's baby.
Her face flushed at that thought, now she knew it wasn't actually their baby, people didn't lay eggs. They were just pretending to be parents to...she supposed...learn how to be responsible with something so fragile. She thought it was a little foolish for her, she had been taking care of Irulan for almost a year now. Dogs required much more attention and care then an egg, but it was required for her final grade so she would do the project to the best of her ability, just as she approached all of her school work. She glanced at the egg again, her baby, her baby with Sam. That blush came back, now Emily knew in terms of romance she was a little inexperienced and naiive, but she knew exactly how babies were made. Her mind went back to that night...Valentine's day, the blush got a little darker. Sure, she knew they hadn't gone that far, but what if they had...could they have been facing that exact problem right now...could she have gotten pregnant? Of course their could have always been the possibility if they had gone all that way...it only takes once, their health class teacher always told them. She shook her head, why was she obsessing over that, they didn't go that far, she was still a virgin, all they did was kiss...well...kiss and then some, but still it was just kissing.
Emily bit her lip as she remembered the second time...she had been so stupid. Kiss him again and see if you feel anything. Stupid. Of course she would feel something, she already felt something for him, she knew that, he was pretty perfect as guys came...well in her eyes. He was sweet, considerate, a good listener, he could make her smile and laugh and make everything seem brighter and better. She gave a quiet, sad, little laugh. It didn't really matter what she felt, she knew she could be in a relationship with someone at some point, she just needed a better reign on her powers, she couldn't risk it yet. Also...she didn't even know if he felt anything like what she felt for him. He might have just reacted like any other teenage boy. She must have imagined how he kissed her back when she kissed him again, how he held her so tightly on Valentine's day, how he made her feel so beautiful and wanted. She ran a hand through her hair. This train of thought was not a good one, she was going to see him again any minute now...obsessing over her feelings for him and his for her would not help things. This would be their first face to face after the second kiss and she needed to be strong to not tell him everything.
