Evan wasted no time. The minute she told him she was putting her phone away, he called information to hail a cab. He was out the door in less time than that, not bothering to put on a coat. -Which, in hindsight, probably wasn't that smart since it was fucking cold outside, and Evan only had on a tee shirt. But he didn't care, surprisingly. He was too worried about Natalie. Or really, too worried someone else was trying to horn in on his girlfriend just because they were on a break. Whoever this 'Andy' was, he was no friend of Evan's. That was for sure.
"Fuck, can't you go faster?" Evan asked the cab driver. It didn't help. They pulled up in front of his apartment building in about the same time it would have been had he not said anything. He paid the man, opened the door, and rushed upstairs as fast as his feet would carry him. Stopping only when he got outside the door, he knocked hard.
