The events of the previous hour had been wiped from her mind. Her thoughts couldn't have been happier as Macy, new memory and all, was heading home. It was a far walk, but she enjoyed the crisp weather more than she cared to admit. It was a nice way to reflect on her day, her emotions and her stress. Of course, recalling her day was severely lacking in specific things, but she didn't know the wiser. At the moment, she was just glad her mood swing had passed, seemingly peacefully. She could be happy again. She could be herself.
The ground was still icy, but it wasn't awful if she took her time. After all, she didn't want to slip and fall. It was dangerous, and Macy wasn't dressed for a tumble on the pavement. She was all alone, so there was no one to catch her. A mental note to be careful was made, and then she let her mind wander.
Among other things, Macy wondered if Lexie was going to be home for dinner. She'd said she was moving back in, but when? She also remembered all the gold things sitting around the sofa. She was going to have to find a place for them. Maybe she could donate them to a charity or something. She didn't want to pawn them. Even though they were her things, it didn't seem right to abuse her affliction for her own personal gain. Still, it'd be handy for rent payments.
Sighing at her conflicted thoughts, Macy turned the corner onto the street her building was located on. Her mind blanked again when she saw who was at her door. Noah. Her ex boyfriend who she had definitely not gotten back together with. Why was he at her door? Why was he buzzing so frantically?
"Noah? What are you doing here?" She pulled her keys out of her pocket as she approached him.
