Laney raised her eyebrows at his boldness. She was impressed by him tossing his phone away. He was blatantly ignoring his father and that earned him a big ol' dumb smirk, pasted right across her features. This was why she liked him. Well, among many other reasons, anyways. "You're so badass," she said, once their tiny kiss had ended. "Let's go."
She untangled herself from him and pushed off the ground, standing. Her knees were shaky, but that was to be expected. The rest of her was shaky, too. Her heart was still pounding a mile a minute, possibly more now that they were about to go to his room. A room with a bed. A bed that he sleeps in every night, in limited amount of clothing most likely.
