"Sam Young?" A crease appeared in Alex's brow. "I don't think I know him. Why would your brother be hanging out with someone he knows is bad news? He's way smarter than that." Alex took another sip of her cosmo, reflecting silently. Macy wasn't the type to judge, but Alex certainly was. She'd have to look into this Sam kid. Maybe see what she could do. For now, though, Macy had troubles of her own.
"You're too sweet, Macy." Alex told her, smiling. "Some people just can't be fixed. And that's why you broke up with him in the first place, isn't it? It's probably better he's gone." She took another sip of her drink and glanced around mischievously. "And now we can set you up with one of these cute bartenders. Always a bright side, right?" Alex herself would never stand for being set up with... really anyone no matter how cute he was, but she figured that a rebound date for Macy definitely couldn't hurt. At little as she knew about actual functioning relationships, she was definitely all for seeing her best friend smiling and genuinely happy again.
