"Maybe I could try. It doesn't seem too likely that she'd immediately recognize me." They had met once under rather odd circumstances and now he just looked like some kid who could possibly get her to open up a little easier than some adult poking around for information. He didn't know her well enough to figure out all of that stuff right now.
"Then it was probably a really good thing that I didn't just start blurting things out and confusing the hell out if him." That was a whole can of worms better left for another day, week, possibly year. The small part of him that needed a hug was starting to feel a little bit better though as he just let his legs go back to dangling and sitting back. He was also figuring that Penny's closet was probably about 100x cleaner than his own, but still not the most appealing. Any other time it also would have been the moment where he would make a joke about her trying to keep him all for her self. "Would that really be safer than sticking around to my apartment? No offense as I'm sure your closet is clean enough you could perform surgery in it. I'd probably have to text Evan or Natalie to take care of my cat otherwise."
He had to actually try and find his hands in the amount of sleeves he had on from trying to keep warm. His feet swinging only caused the snow boots (which made his feet look ridiculously large compared to the rest of him) slip off to reveal he had on about 10 pairs of socks just to try and make them come close to fitting. At least with this he might have some clue as to how much he was potentially malfunctioning. Finally finding his fingers though he just reached out, trying not to fall out of the chair in the mean time.
