Normally Seth would be up on his way to work, but he had called out saying he needed a few days to himself. His emotions were a mess, just when he thought everything made sense this happened. He had been perfectly content getting what he wanted from the lovely Fiona Bailey and the possibility of a repeat. Then she was thrown back in his life. Macy...she threw a wrench in the whole thing.
He remembered the look on her face, the horror, the sorrow, the hopelessness. He just wanted to take that away, make her be happy again. Seth knew wiping her mind of more than just her killing his father was selfish, but he couldn't help himself, it was too easy, it was too tempting, him possibly getting another chance with her...maybe she'd choose him this time. Also there was still the fact that she killed his father, accident or not...his father was dead and it was because of her. Now he and his father hadn't been on good terms for a long time but it was still his father. He was kicking himself remembering the last time he spoke to his father.
His father had called him to meet up. He tried to make amends apologize for letting his mother experiment on him, that it was wrong that he didn't fight harder. And Seth, had just walked away saying it was too little too late and that he hated him and would never forgive him, ever. And now...he was gone. His father died thinking Seth hated him. The last thing he told his father was that he hated him. Seth didn't know if he could get over that fact...didn't know if he could forgive himself. Despite everything he had still been his father and he loved him...he couldn't not. He was broken out of his thoughts when the phone rang. Not bothering to check the caller idea he answered in a grainy voice,
"Hello," he then heard the response and his sadness faded away into subdued anger, "So did the rest of the island, a heart attack...got to say that was rather brilliant on your boss's part."
