WHO: Ben and Fiona
WHAT: Brotherly comfort.
WHEN: After this.
WHERE: Fi’s.
RATING: Not too high.
STATUS: Incomplete.
Ben had, of course, expected the voicemail (or some kind of contact), but that didn’t make it any easier to receive. Since his conversation with Rory, when Rory had told him exactly what he’d done and exactly (what he knew about) how he’d done it, Ben had worried about Fiona’s reaction. Fiona was fragile, sort of. In comparison to the rest of his family, Fiona had always been a little more fragile; she’d always needed a little more attention. This situation was no exception.
In all honesty, Ben was torn. He knew how genuinely excited Fiona had seemed about things with Sebastian. She’d seemed… she’d seemed great. But he also knew that Rory’s feelings, his reasons for wanting Fiona at a distance were genuine, and his ability had acted up by accident. He hadn’t meant to push Sebastian and Fiona together, but it had happened, and now he was living with the fallout, a result that not even Ben was sure the severity of. He breathed a sigh and approached Fiona’s door, raising a hand to knock and stuffing his hands into his pockets.
Blood was thicker than water in the end, and regardless of how bad he felt for Rory’s situation, Fiona had his loyalty.
