Amelia's reaction immediately made Gio smile, and he looked down at his pinstripe suit as if to check if it'd suddenly turned pink and red. The only red on it was the flower that made up his boutonnière, which Gio still thought made him look ridiculous. He and flowers did not go together. Axel, on the other hand, looked very handsome with the small flower arrangement pinned to his chest. Gio was sure he knew which of Glory's two dates she found more attractive, and any guess with 'Gio' in it was the wrong answer.
Fortunately, Amelia's next comment about his greeting made him laugh and stop focusing on himself for a few seconds. "It was before they killed it and dragged it in here," he replied, glancing over to the innocent-looking punch bowl. It was sort of inevitable that it would get spiked. This wasn't a high school dance, so people were bound to want to drink. However, Gio wouldn't be surprised if a high school student had been the one to bring alcohol in, anyway.
"I know because I feel drunk." Not drunk drunk, but the idea of dancing where everyone could see him didn't seem so horrifying anymore. "How much have you had already?" he asked, and snorted at the question. He was pretty sure the answer was going to be something like a lot.
