Rory wasn't really expecting Ben to take him up on the offer, but he figured he might as well extend it anyway. He was more or less sure that, like his friendship with Fiona, his would-be friendship with Ben was now damaged beyond repair. Messing with his sister, even unintentionally, had been the final nail in the coffin. He could only hope that Fiona wouldn't be as upset as Ben was, although he was sure that that was unlikely. Highly unlikely.
"You do that," Rory said, wheeling across the room to push open the door for him. "And I will. I'll text her tomorrow so we can meet up sometime this week and talk. I'll see you later, Ben." As he watched Ben leave, Rory breathed a deep, forlorn sigh and closed the door behind him. This had to stop. And soon. Gio was most definitely right. Nothing good came from having a "power." Nothing good at all.
