Jen sighed. She didn't like discussing these things, particularly to students, because well, she tended to get emotional. That was one thing she loved about math. Math had no emotions. It was all strictly detached with numbers. They held no meaning other than numerical, so they couldn't illicit emotions. Words often carried various meanings, which could illicit a variety of different emotions.
With a nod, she pulled her knee away from his desk and took a few steps away from him. She chewed on her lower lip as she stared out the window trying to compose herself. Her daughters meant everything to her. Sure, they had started off as experiments, but Jen was more attached to them than to anything or anyone else. She loved them with everything she had in her, and to think about her husband wanting to hold them back hurt her.
