Working on homework in groups was awesome, and it was one of the easiest ways for Wes to get it done faster and get a better grade than he would have on his own. He felt like he slowed down the rest of the group a little, but that was a hazard of grouping with him on anything but chem work.
When the bell rang, he gathered up his papers and made sure they were in the right order. If he didn't do that now, he'd probably forget to later. His group had been toward the back of the room, so it took awhile for him to get close to the door. And by the time he did, she'd his name.
Wes had no probably staying after to talk with Jennifer Evans. He wasn't so sure he wanted to talk about his math test, but talking about math was something he could survive since it meant talking to her. He'd rather talk about other things, but he wasn't sure how to bring them up yet.
"Sure, Mrs. Evans," he said, stepping aside so other people could get around him.
