Who: Savannah and Nathan
What: Date Night Shenanigans
Where: The Streets Home
When: 9:00 PM, backdated to Saturday
Rating: PG-13 (Probably no higher!)
Both being without a car came as both a blessing and a curse. Their dates had, so far, been going well, and Savannah was eager to find any excuse for spending more time with Nathan afterwards. Walking home together was chilly, but she relished the opportunity to continue their conversation -- no matter the topic.
Although it was cold and had been threatening to snow all day, there remained not a flake in the sky. Savannah was bundled up against the cold in a heavy jacket she saved for special occasions, a knit cap, a scarf, and warm mittens. Her dark hair spilled out from beneath her cap, splayed in stark contrast against the jacket. Their date had been a casual one -- and good thing, because the thought of hiking home in a skirt made Savannah shiver. Instead, she was dressed in a casual pair of jeans, a pair of stylish black boots with heels, and a soft pink turtleneck sweater that, like her boots, looked more like a fashion statement than a practical choice. Fortunately, it was a rather beautiful night. Only 25 degrees, Savannah could think of worse nights for a walk.
Although they had only just left the restaurant, Savannah began, "Thanks for walking me home. I know it's a little out of your way." Her smile was soft, eyes flickering towards the dark alleyway across the street as they passed. "I know it sounds ridiculous, but all those stupid slasher movies come back to me when I'm alone at night."
