"You'll have to let me know if it gets interesting", Frank said, still smirking like an ass as Jazlyn recovered from the fright he had given her. Frank wondered if he had embarrassed her or something since she looked a little flushed but while most would feel apologetic, Frank's smirk merely grew bigger. He opened his mouth to say something dirty in response to her question but thought better of it. Instead, he answered truthfully. "Strawberry, two scoops". He looked around the ice cream parlor and felt a pang of nostalgia. There had been a lot of good times working here, a lot better than the times he was having at the pub. I'm gonna have to see if I can get hired back for the summer, he thought.
"Wow, pretty dead around here tonight, isn't it? Have you had anyone in here at all?" Frank asked out loud, tapping his hands on the counter idly in tune with the song he had had stuck in his head all day. Yeah, he'd definitely have to wait for the summer to try to get a job as business in the winter time was slow as shit.
"Hey, can I look at your book?" he asked Jazlyn when she was busy getting his order. Frank was half tempted to grab it but resisted the urge. He liked Jazlyn and didn't really want to piss her off, least she spit in his ice cream. "Are you planning on taking over the town and making us all do your bidding?" Frank joked. The idea of Jazlyn trying to boss anyone around was pretty hard to picture.
