Although Rory obviously noticed his brother's blush (it was... kind of hard to miss), he was gracious and didn't comment on it. It was bad enough that he was teasing Gio about loving Glory when his Rory was pretty sure that his feeling didn't extend much farther beyond crushdom. Love was, as Rory knew all too well, a whole different ballgame.
For now, though, it would just be easier to let the subject drop and focus on Gio's suggestion. It was... an interesting one. He'd have to think about this whole "sensing chemistry" thing a little more, although now that he'd set it out loud it actually made a good deal more sense than he thought it would. He would've completely written off the idea had he not known about the plethora of other powers that existed on the island, but if someone could turn into a human magnet, or suddenly and inexplicably understand languages, the ability to sense chemistry actually seemed rather tame and believable by comparison.
And besides, what had Penny said? Like Gio, she'd spoken of manipulating people's emotions. But maybe... maybe that wasn't quite the case. What if he could manipulate people's desires? Or rather... who they desired? The thought made a deep crease appear in his brow, but it also made his heart begin to beat a little faster. If he could control people's attraction... Rory looked quickly up at Gio, a serious expression on his face. "I think you might be on to something, Gio," he told him. "If it does go beyond just sensing chemistry, maybe I can... maybe..." he paused and rephrased a little. "Maybe there's more room for development. I'll have to think about it. Test it out a little, if I can. I'll report back to you immediately, okay?"
