Gio didn't like to hear Glory and Dietre were together all the time, but he had to respect Rory's observations about them. It wouldn't stop Gio seeing Dietre as a threat (a threat to what? he was never going to make a move on Glory, no way), but it eased his mind for the time being. Enough for him to take a deep breath, anyway, and calm down enough to realize no one had blabbed to Glory about him liking her. He was still safe … in the friend zone. Yay.
"Okay," he answered at length, looking even more down for a moment, but Gio mentally shook himself and commanded his emotions to perk up. It wasn't like he wanted to gush on to Rory about how much he liked Glory, or even talk about it anymore.
"Maybe that's your power then, huh?" Gio asked, conjuring up a wry smile. "You can feel the love, literally. You might drown in it on Valentine's Day."
