Gio nodded in answer to Rory's rhetorical question, and couldn't help the small smile that curled at the corners of his mouth. However, it faltered and soon disappeared as Rory stated his opinion that Glory liked him 'a lot.' Gio knew Glory liked him, they were friends, but a lot was pushing it.
"Rory, I know you're usually spot-on about this kind of stuff, but somehow I don't think so." Gio had been replaying Glory's voice telling him she'd much rather go to the dance with him than Dietre, but that was only because Dietre would not have enjoyed himself. "She hangs out with a senior, and he's really good-looking. I think he even takes ballet with her." Not to mention Dietre was all broody and mysterious, which seemed to attract girls. Gio was sure he didn't stand a chance against him.
