Rory's brows knitted together as Gio spoke. Wow. Someone really could see the future. And yes, Sasha, like Mari, was definitely a human magnet. He nodded and said, "Yes. But of course we don't want to... 'out,'" he made air quotes, "our friends, since we don't know if they've talked to their parents. I'm starting to despair of any of us having an ability more obvious than Ed's though, if we have any at all." Rory sighed. "Although maybe it's just hiding so well in our everyday lives that we don't know we're using it."
He was about to open his mouth to ask if Gio could think of anything in his everyday life that might point to a power, but Gio was already getting up to try Rory's sonar suggestion. Honestly, it had been kind of a joke, but watching Gio execute his plan, Rory began to wonder (for about five seconds) whether maybe it was true. ... But then Gio failed (and kind of epically) at showing any signs of sonar capabilities. Rory managed (though only barely) not to laugh as Gio returned to his chair. "Well at least that's one more thing we know it's not," he counselled sagely.
"But what about something like Ed's? Something that could be camouflaging into your everyday life?" He smiled. "Maybe you can grow gills! You certainly spend enough time with your fish."
