Rory sighed. At one point, he almost thought that his mom just might've been avoiding him so she could avoid the conversation, but Gio was right -- she had no way of knowing that the brothers had been talking about it. And besides, school had just started up again, and she had clients. It was a busy season. Still, he was determined to have a conversation with her sometime, even if it didn't shed much (or any) light on the situation. "I think we're just going to have to work on it on our own, for now," Rory told him. "I'm also a little concerned since it's not like we have much proof, unless we want to parade our friends in front of her. Or Ed, I suppose."
Rory's eyebrows shot up at Gio's suggestion. He'd thought about it, of course, but never quite in that way. He knew better than to assume it would be completely obvious (Eisen's wasn't, after all, at least not at first blush), but even so, wouldn't he have noticed something? "That's a theory," Rory said ponderously. "But if we're operating on that premise then it follows that you can do something too. Hmm." He was quiet for a moment, thinking, then he smiled. "I don't know, Gio. If it's something that's manifesting as a hidden talent, the only thing I can think of is sarcasm. Maybe my power is irony."
