"I can't do anything, either," Gio said, which he'd already told Rory, but he said it again so his brother was sure that nothing had come up since their last chat. The powers seemed to be varied, with putting people to sleep on one end of the spectrum and being able to power a light bulb with bare hands on the other. He'd wracked his brain to think of anything his brothers could do that was unusual, but he hadn't even considered Ed's calming presence at night when he wanted to go to bed something unusual and it had turned out to be his power. There was a possibility he was missing something that Rory and Nico could do, but he didn't know where to begin.
"Do you think that means mom knows something?" For a moment, Gio's eyes got wide, but when he brought a hand up to his forehead and scratched right beneath his beanie, they grew smaller, almost squinty. "No, she doesn't know we've been talking about it. She wouldn't know you wanted to ask her." He sighed.
"Rory, maybe you can do something," Gio blurted in the next moment. It wasn't like eureka! or anything, but he looked more intently at his brother. "I mean, a lot of people don't know they can do anything until it happens. And Ed's thing? He's been doing it forever and didn't know. That means this power stuff isn't exactly new, if he's been doing it since I was little."
