The door closed behind him and Gio took a seat in the chair Rory indicated. While he didn't want to be dramatic, Gio couldn't really find it in himself to muster up a smile. At first, the power thing had sounded cool, but now it was like some kind of epidemic that was claiming everyone he knew. Even if it was just that there was something freaky in the water, Gio needed a reason. It was beginning to unsettle him.
"I went out to lunch with a friend," Gio said slowly, "and she told me she generates electricity." That was one of the most frightening powers Gio had heard, because what if Amelia was shaking someone's hand and all her power switched on? It wasn't like she could avoid all forms of physical contact. "This is starting to get crazy, Rory. I don't understand. Even Ed can do something; he knocked me out without even touching me. I just – fell asleep."
Gio looked over at his brother, eyebrows drawn together. "What's going on?"
