Watching the cork fly off the Neverland (so to speak) still made her chuckle, even if this was the millionth time she has seen it. Well, it wasn’t the millionth, but it was close enough because she lost count after the tenth time. But this time she didn’t clap after the waiter did it.
Makayla waited for Travis to be done with preparing their meals before digging in. Her stomach was yelling at her in a quiet way to hurry up and feed it. But she wanted to wait. It wasn’t right to look and act like a pig with a meal like this. She needed to savior the taste, savior the meal, and make it last as long as she could - unless her husband distracted her. Which happens quite a bit. All he had to do was sit there and smile at her, and dinner would be out of her mind. Maybe he could be her dessert? She can’t recall him saying anything that there was dessert waiting for them after this.
“I’m getting used to seeing those faces when either of us mentions spending time together. They’ll understand soon enough when they get girlfriends of their own.” The thought of her sons even getting a girlfriend, or boyfriend – but since she didn’t really know their sexuality as of yet, she couldn’t tell what they might like. She should sit down and have that talk with the both of them. Though, that might be a job for Travis, since he was a man and boys look up to the same sex more than the opposite. “How sweet of them,” she teased with a bright smile. “I’ll have to tell them you pulled this off with flying colors.” Picking up her fork and knife then, she couldn’t wait to take a bite of the meat. The aroma was killing her in the sweetest way possible.
