With how long they’ve been married, you’d expect the marriage would be going downhill by now, right? But Travis knew how to keep her guessing, wanting more, and loving every second she could have with him. And she couldn’t get over with how much of a romantic he was. She would let him sweep her off her feet whenever he felt like it; be it every day or every second.
Makayla couldn’t help laughing quietly when she was spun to be pulled closer to her husband. Her free hand came up to rest automatically against his shoulder before dropping back down to her side. Though she brought it back up when they started to head toward the dining room. She wanted to cover her eyes and not peek until they were in the room.
She could probably walk throughout this house with her eyes closed if she wanted to. She knew they were close to the dining room before Travis even said a word. Maybe it was the smell of the meal that caught her senses and told her where they were, or it was the change of the atmosphere. Whatever it was made her drop her hand and look on to the presentation that made her mouth agape with awe. Her eyes didn’t know where to look first! The petals were noticed, of course. The food was what really caught her attention then (probably because she was starving by that time). Travis really didn’t have to go all out like this for just a late birthday celebration. And though he does extravagant things every year, it still hit her in the spot that made her love him even more. She showed it right there when she turned to him, letting his hand go in the process so both of hers could cup his cheeks gently, and press her full plump lips against his to give him that loving, appreciated kiss. “It’s beautiful, baby, thank you,” she said after pulling away.
Moving away from him was hard to do, but her stomach was growling to be fed. She did wait for her chair to be pulled out though, when she made it toward the table.
