"Gasp! Horror!" Lexie responded, managing to smile a little as she sat down. She quirked an eyebrow (and expression that she had clearly learned by mimicking her father) as he spoke. "Oh really? You, the big, strong man needs protection from his twenty-one-year-old daughter? I'm intrigued, Papa! Tell me more!"
Lexie absolutely loved that shifty-eyed expression. It always made her giggle, no matter how many times he did it. That was the thing about having a dad who taught theatre. She was used to exaggerated expressions and long-winded soliloquies. It was his thing. In a way, she was even pretty sure that she'd found David more attractive for sharing similar qualities.
