His lucky day? It really seemed like it was. Even if it was a dream, he was at the beach. It was perfect outside, and he had his girlfriend there. Two of his girlfriend, actually. It was a pretty great dream by his standards, definitely. He was grinning as Mal came closer, running her hand down his arm until she was holding his hand. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed that the other Mal didn't seem to be too pleased. Which was a shame, because it was hard to see Mal be smiling and not look happy all at the same time. In his mind, she should have always been smiling, no matter what. Though at that moment, she was the one keeping the smile on his face.
Ed waited to hear what she had to say as her hands settled at his hips. He could feel the warmth of the sun on his back, though he was sure that it couldn't compete at all with the beauty of her smile. He was prepared to say something in response, but before he could, she was kissing his neck. And he certainly couldn't be made to mind.
"No, no...you're not mistaken at all," he said, taking a second to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her closer.
