Only someone completely dim or distracted wouldn't pick up on the painfully obvious fact that Felix was having a difficult time. Wolf was patient, reading his lips with utmost concentration for the words, wanting to see them. For the most part, he wanted to see them for a very altruistic reason: he knew it would be better for Felix in the long run, as being and loving yourself were both important. However, things usually weren't completely selfless when it came to Wolf, no matter what, and he had his own reasons for wanting to see Felix admit he was gay.
'In the closet' was an acceptable alternative, even though Wolf had a feeling Felix used the phrase because the G word was too difficult to muster. Baby steps and all that. They had made progress, even if Felix couldn't help but panic a little after admitting it, bringing up secrecy and his family. That made annoyance spike up within him again, but not at Felix. No one deserved to be scared to come out to their family, not knowing whether or not they'd be accepted. It was too sad.
"Your secret's safe," Wolf said, although unfortunately for Felix, Wolf wasn't really the secretive type.
When Wolf went in for a kiss this time, it was a gentle gesture. He released Felix's hand to slip both of his arms around the other young man's neck, and his fingers delved into the close-cropped hair on the back of Felix's head. It was almost affectionate, with the purpose of soothing; accepting. There were some people who wouldn't accept Felix for who he was, but there were those who would; and Wolf was one of the latter.
